Walk 2000

An easy way to keep healthy

Walking has been described as the perfect form of exercise, open to all ages and fitness levels. Walking short distances regularly will help improve health and fitness levels.

Health Benefits

Castle Vale Housing Action Trust and Castle Vale Community Environmental Trust are working together to provide healthy walk routes for all on Castle Vale.

All the routes have been subject to testing and are 2 kilometres long. Staff are trained in the Walk 2000 project and safety issues and are on hand at every walk.

If you would like to be healthier, loose weight, get outdoors or just meet new friends, Walk 2000 could be for you.

You do not have to be particularly fit or sporty, just committed to making a difference to your health.

If you would like to try an organised walk, contact Castle Vale Community Environmental Trust on 0121 749 7132 or Castle Vale Housing Action Trust on 0121 749 8357.

Being regularly active can significantly improve your health. Walking is good for your health but if you do have any medical condition which could be adversely affected by taking up activity it may be advisable to ask your doctor first.
